We are hiring multiple talented Masters students for Directed Research/Thesis and Undergraduates for MQPs in the field of aerial robotics and Computer Vision/Robot Perception.
Come push the boundaries of what is possible on tiny robots with us!
We are currently hiring in four project domains for
multiple Masters and Undergraduate student positions:
MQP: Lensless Dragonfly-Sized Autonomy

Design and test a method to capture an image without a lens to navigate a cluttered environment to avoid collisions. The project involves the design of a lensless imaging system for a 120mm quadrotor and control policy for obstacle avoidance.
Keywords: Sensors, Computer Vision, Computational Imaging, Perception, Python, C++, Depth Estimation, Obstacle avoidance
MQP, DR, MSThesis: Navigation In Harsh Environments With Visuo-Sonic Suite

Design and implement an autonomous drone system capable of navigating through an unknown environment while avoiding obstacles in harsh conditions of dust, smoke and low-light using a combination of ultrasound and event cameras. The project involves the development and testing of an obstacle avoidance algorithm in harsh conditions using on-board computation and sensing.
Keywords: Event Camera, Ultrasound, ROS, Python, C++, Obstacle avoidance, Perception, Odometry
MQP, DR: High-speed depth-based autonomous flight through cluttered environments

Design and implement an autonomous drone system capable of maintaining an average speed of over 10 m/s while navigating through an unknown environment while avoiding obstacles using a depth camera within a quadrotor diagonal wheelbase size of less than 250mm. The project involves the design and integration of a perception, planning and control algorithms for navigation.
Keywords: ROS, Python, C++, Depth Camera, Obstacle avoidance, Perception, SLAM, Odometry
How do I apply?
